In order to protect these waters, in June of 1999, the Northern Menorca Marine Reserve was established by the Balearic Government.
The northern coast of Menorca is one of the last unspoiled areas of the Mediterranean. The protected area encompasses a great expanse between Cap Gros and Punta des Morter. In these waters, we will be able to enjoy dives in which numerous species can be observed that represent the marine life of the Mediterranean.
The most easterly island of the Balearic Islands offers us many options to explore and enjoy all of its natural beauty.
Thanks to its environmental balance, the white and blue island was declared a “Biosphere Reserve” by UNESCO. Its rocky coasts bathed in clear and warm water place it among the best preserved scuba diving areas of the Mediterranean, leading to the creation of the “Northern Menorca Marine Reserve.”
In this idyllic place, in the town of Fornells, we created our “Diving Center Fornells” in 1999. To enjoy your vacation, getting in touch with nature and away from the large crowds, we offer you a modern scuba diving center and personalized service with a high level of quality and safety. Both the expert diver as well as the unexperienced beginner will find service that fits their needs. A team of professionals is at your disposal.
It is located in the north central area of the island. This is a picturesque town with an enchanting atmosphere where you can enjoy your vacation, getting in touch with nature and away from the crowded tourist areas of the island.
Its narrow and mystical streets, fishing port, and spectacular rocky coast with unspoiled beaches will captivate you. Its iconic natural bay is exceptional for water sports.
Our center is located at the seafront, just a few steps away from the port, offering you the greatest ease and convenience to get the most out of your vacation. Fornells, because of its location, can be reached quickly from any point in Menorca.
